Health insurance benefits

Podiatry foot treatment is generally not a compulsory service provided by health insurance companies. In certain cases, however, your insurance may cover the services of our podiatry practice.

Supplementary insurance

Depending on your supplementary insurance, 0 to 90% of the costs of podiatric foot treatment for diabetics are covered. Ask your health insurance company about the current reimbursements if you have supplementary insurance.

We will be happy to issue you with a receipt, which you can send to your supplementary insurance company after paying by cash or card. It is your responsibility to clarify whether your supplementary insurance will cover the costs. We accept no liability for this.

Health insurance billing for diabetic foot syndrome

You can bill a different number (depending on the diagnosis) of podiatric foot treatments for diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) with a doctor’s prescription via the basic health insurance (KVG). With the Podolog:in HF, Podologiepraxis Zug AG fulfills the requirements for the provision of services according to OKP.

With a fully completed prescription, we can bill the health insurance companies directly via the medical insurance fund.

That means

Diagnosis A, B or C is ticked by the doctor.

The signature and stamp (incl. date of treatment) of the doctor must include the ZSR number and the GLN number:

The prescription must be reissued for each calendar year.

Please bring your health insurance card and a current medication list with you to your first consultation.
